Workshop: Green Deal as Business Opportunity

Content – What do you learn?

The Green Deal is a major change in the economic policy framework in Europe that will leave certain companies behind, but will also open up new opportunities for young and dynamic companies. The way companies are organized by the regulations expected in the coming years will change in many ways. As we move towards a decarbonized and circular economy, thousands of businesses as well as European consumers will face new challenges and needs for which young and dynamic organizations in particular can create solutions.

In this workshop, you will:

• learn about the Green Deal and which regulations are in place and which to come
• learn how these changes in the framework can affect your business ideas and create new opportunities

Methodology – How do you learn?

We will start with one hour of deep dive into the most relevant regulations, changes in framework and how business can adopt to that. With this in mind you shall practically explore this new and very operative perspective of looking at future through regulations. You will see examples of business model adaptions, which will inspire you for the evolution of your own model.

• 4 p.m. – 5:15 p.m. Deep dive into the Green Deal and the related opportunities for SME ́s.
• 5:15 p.m. – 5:45 p.m. Examples of details in regulations and how they will affect the business.
• 5:45 p.m. – 6 p.m. Wrap Up

Competences – How does the workshop support you?

• Through the workshop you learn to understand how the Green Deal will change the business in Europe
  and how to take advantage of that as a small business.
• You will learn to see regulations as chances for your business activities.

Short biography of the spearker

I’m Robert, 30 years in business of which I spent 8 as an expat in Eastern Europe, 22 to develop my own company, 21 in teaching at universities, 17 in consulting, 2 of them in sustainability. If you add this up you can see, that I did not have a linear career but am very much a project oriented, idea driven and creative mind, with a very analytic and figure driven corner and an idealistic soul focused on sustainability and business finding their way together.
